About Me

My name is Shannon Ball. My husband, Daniel, and I are both Christian, but we are interdenominational. I am Catholic, he is Presbyterian. We've been attending both services together every Sunday since we were dating.

I enjoy crochet, knitting, and writing fiction. (I love to participate in National Novel Writing Month every November.) I am probably addicted to both coffee and Pinterest.

Daniel is a video game nerd who has been working for as long as I've known him on writing his own game with his brother.

We have been happily married for five years, and have a beautiful little daughter, who I will be calling Pitter-Patter, for now, because I am not ready to share her name with the internet. We are very blessed in that we have the means for me to be able to stay home and raise her.

I have been observing Daniel's small church for over six years, now, and it is my belief that the deep divisions between Christians of different denominations is one of the things that most damages the credibility of the Christian testimony to a lost and dying world. We need to reach out to that world with a hand that crosses denominations in order for them to come to Jesus Christ, and that means that we need to build one another up in the faith.

I will be regularly posting reflections on the Sunday mass readings, but I also look forward to posting about all of the ways that Daniel and I help one another to become better Christians, and how each of us grows to become more closely conformed to the image and likeness of God.
